Message Inbox – How Messages Are Stored

  • Only incoming messages (with date and time) are stored in the Message Inbox.
  • Read and unread message behavior:
    • If a message is marked as read (clicked in notifications), it moves to All Messages.
    • Unread messages (notifications not clicked or channels disabled in settings) remain in the Unread Messages section.
  • The message count for All Messages, Unread, and Starred is displayed. If the count exceeds 49, it shows “49+”.

Filter Options in Message Inbox

Located on the left panel, users can filter messages based on:

  1. From Date (Cannot select future dates).
    • ⚠️ Error message displayed if future date is selected.
  2. To Date (Can select past or future dates).
    • ⚠️ Error message displayed if invalid date is chosen.
  3. Object Filter: Displays objects of all incoming messages.
  4. Contacts Filter: Displays all contacts associated with incoming messages.

Managing Messages in the Force Message Inbox

  • Star Messages: Click the ⭐ icon to store messages in the Starred category.
  • Mark as Read: Click the 📩 Message box symbol to move the message to All Messages.

Message Status Icons

  • 📩 Unread Message Icon: Appears when the message is not yet viewed.
  • ✅ Read Message Icon: Appears when the message has been opened.

Customizing Message Inbox UI – Color Settings

Located in the Settings at the top right corner, users can customize:

1. Text Color

  • Alters the text color of All Messages, Starred, and Unread.
  • Select a color from the hexadecimal palette and click “Save”.

2. Header Color

  • Changes the background of the Force Message Inbox header and settings panel.
  • Pick a color from the palette → Save → Instantly applied.

3. Background Color

  • Modifies the overall background color of the Message Inbox.
  • Choose a color → Save → Applied instantly.

4. Filter Background Color

  • Customizes the filter section background of the Message Inbox.
  • Choose a color → Save → Applied immediately.

5. All Message Color

  • Adjusts the color of messages displayed in the All Messages section.

6. Unread Message Color

  • Alters the color of messages in the Unread Messages section.

7. Starred Message Color

  • Changes the color of Starred Messages for better visibility.
